Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using RC Line ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Alpha Software Notice

RC Line is alpha-stage software under active development. The App may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features. It may behave unpredictably, crash, or cause system instability. You acknowledge that you are using pre-release software and accept all associated risks.

3. License Grant

Subject to these Terms, the developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use RC Line on macOS 26 and later devices for personal or commercial purposes.

4. System Requirements and Permissions

Supported Platform: RC Line is designed for macOS 26 and later versions. The App is not compatible with macOS 25 or earlier and may not function on unsupported systems.

Required Permissions: RC Line requires Accessibility permission solely to read currently selected text on your device. The App does not monitor keystrokes, track user activity, or access any other data beyond the selected text at the moment of invocation.

5. Privacy and Data Handling

All text processing occurs locally on your device. RC Line does not transmit, collect, or store any data externally. However, the developer makes no guarantee of absolute security or privacy protection.

6. Permitted Use and Restrictions

6.1 Permitted Use

RC Line may be used solely for the purpose of assisting with text reading and comprehension on your personal device.

6.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not:

Integrate, embed, or incorporate RC Line into other applications, software, or services Redistribute, sublicense, sell, lease, or transfer the App to any third party Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App Use the name "RC Line," its logo, or any related branding in connection with other products or services

6.3 Copyright Compliance

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of any content displayed by the App complies with applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not:

Publish, distribute, or share screenshots, screen recordings, photographs, or other reproductions of copyrighted text displayed by the App beyond personal, private use Use the App to facilitate copyright infringement or unauthorized reproduction of protected works

The developer assumes no liability for your unauthorized use of copyrighted material.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The developer does not warrant that the App will:

Operate without interruption or error Be free from bugs, viruses, or harmful components Meet your requirements or expectations Be compatible with future macOS versions

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Loss of data, productivity, or business opportunities Device damage or system instability Conflicts with other applications or system settings Any other damages or losses of any kind

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) and even if the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Changes to the App

The developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time without notice or liability.

10. Modifications to Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically.

11. Termination

Your license to use RC Line terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use and delete all copies of the App.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

BY USING RC LINE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF USE.
